Description of Issue

title + iris pointed out that it tries to find optifine at F:/_subroot where as the actual folder name is !subroot

Steps to Reproduce

  1. create forge installation somewhere under a folder that starts with ! (might effect other characters for all i know)
  2. have optifine in the mods folder and attempt to launch
  3. crash immediately

OptiFine Version

1.18.2_HD_U_H7

Installation Method

forge

Fabric/Forge Version

40.0.24

Log Files/Crash Reports

latest.log

Prior Testing

you can work around this by creating the directory it attempts to search, but the average joe wont care to do that!
