Error message

Error message
==> Error: Could not find any remote versions for berkeleygw
...

Information on your system

  • Spack: 0.20.0.dev0 (479f5a7)
  • Python: 3.9.2
  • Platform: linux-debian11-sandybridge
  • Concretizer: clingo

Additional information

@migueldiascosta

The sources mentioned in the spack package for BerkeleyGW are dead, for eg https://berkeley.box.com/shared/static/m1dgnhiemo47lhxczrn6si71bwxoxor8.gz shows that the files are (re)moved.
The reason no one seems to have reported this sofar is because the files are cached in spack mirrors.
I faced this issue as I had to manually install an older version (1.2).

General information

  • I have run spack debug report and reported the version of Spack/Python/Platform
  • I have run spack maintainers <name-of-the-package> and @mentioned any maintainers
  • I have uploaded the build log and environment files
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe this is not a duplicate
