Blynk is ending support for the original server and is changing the controls the original IoT_CloudCloud code uses. Rather than update the code and create another account, my own solution was to eliminate Blynk from my version of the code and it works just fine. There's just no Blynk Demo mode available. The original Sparkfun code can run fine without Blynk.
However my code has several modifications made over the years. (It's a smaller cloud that can sit on my bookcase, it has additional patterns for other weather conditions, there's a night mode to turn off when I'm asleep, and it uses NTP for more accurate time keeping.) These are features that Sparkfun may or may not want brought into their original code.
Sparkfun can update the original code to the new Blynk format, or rewrite the code to not use Blynk.
This is a great project. I've really enjoyed it over the years. Sparkfun is welcome to harvest any of the changes I've made in my own version of the code. They are in the fork fourstix/IoT_CloudCloud.
