I have difficulty with installing both mechanize and httpi (sadly both are loaded via http/ntlm). So could you update ntlm support to rubyntlm?

It looks like I should close this issue. So here is a awful hack who already has issues installing httpi or savon. Of course you should not do this as long as you don't install httpi (as dependency).

As well as savon, I have tested my basic web crawler with configuration. But use this hack at your own risk.

Instead of providing a dropbox download it is better to make a public fork of mechanize with the patch and theb point to this repository

So, this gem just drops ntlm-http dependency, so mechanize will crash if savon is not installed. Hence, cannot be merged to mainstream by any ways...

Though, it can be said that mainstream should move to rubyntlm, which is frequently maintained.
Or... when the NTLM support will be dropped? I need EITHER.

The next version of Mechanize will depend on rubyntlm (likely 2.8.0).
