how to set font in gvim rc file? #1116

New to both gvim and vim/vi so I was wondering: how do I set my gvim font to be set as Monospace Regular 16 for all sessions? I tried doing the following: set guifont="Monospace\ Regular\ 16" on my .gvimrc but this does not seem to have much of an effect.

I figured this out: do not need the quotes.
