Hi, I'm Rodney!
I'm a fan of comic books and animation, both traditional and digital as well as all those things that get brought into those. I hail from the midwest of the US and have been fortunate to travel the world.
My focus is helping others learn animation and the software that allows them to do that.
My favorite programs for that include Animation:Master (3D) and Opentoonz (2D).
I have a few specific goals:
- [ ] Keep the focus on fun!
- [ ] Dive deeply into software development (especially of the open source 2D animation program Opentoonz)
- [ ] Help those that fix bugs and enhance the processes needed for animation
- [ ] Encourage others in their effort to draw and animate
Funds collected will go directly to those that fix and enhance Opentoonz and related programs.
This will ensure free resources remain available and continue to meet the needs of both aspiring artists and animators as well as professionals.
We need to fund new features for Opentoonz through support of developers that write code. With funding we can build a better path toward making this process easier for all involved. Funds collected go directly to those who support the needs of the Opentoonz community.
