Born and brought up in India, after doing M.Sc. in Physics, I work now with data acquisition and control system software, mostly for scientific applications. I created hololinked to ease the integration of control systems with web development, both for myself and others. Its also meant for creating custom SCADA (with or without web-tech) either for something so small and simple like a hobby/lab equipment or something very complicated like a big machine. I think I have done decent research into this and have a first hand perspective, so check it out if you are looking for control system/data-acquisition software in python in open source. If you are disappointed or any functionality is missing, please let me know. I dont like it if a certain tool misses out the core features of the language, the associated thinking pattern or the concepts of the application domain, so I would do my best to improve it.
