Commits

All commits should relate to an issue in the project's JIRA. The beginning of a commit's message should be annotated to indicate the issue that it relates to, e.g. the message for a commit relating to SMA-123 should begin [SMA-123].

Pull requests

An individual pull requests should encapsulate a single logical change, typically this will mean that a pull request addresses a single top-level JIRA issue.
