Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

My custome window layout was gone after updating to Spyder 5. The save is still there but the outline pane I added was not there when I select the saved outline. This was the first error I encountered: missing saved layout.
The second error happened when I tried to save a new custome layout. I added outline label to a pane, I undocked the plot window (I had to use plt to show a figure first in order to do the undocking--- this is a minor error but it does not bother me too much), then, click View - Window layouts - Save current layout ---> this error popped up.

Hey @hilarych, thanks for reporting. This is a duplicate of issue #15129 and it'll be fixed in our next version (5.0.1), to be released shortly.
