it would be nice if the metric's polling frequency could be changed independently of the timeseries' step.
i.e. if the timeseries has a value every 10ms, i might want to throttle down on pulling the data from the metric backend and for instance fetch and update 10 values at a time every 100ms.
or did i miss any existing api details to implement this kind of behavior?
