java.nio

Path.of("foo").relativeTo(Path.of(".")) 
// returns Path("foo")

java.io.

File("foo").relativeTo(File("."))
// returns File("foo")

okio

"foo".toPath().relativeTo(".".toPath())
// ⚠️ returns Path("../foo")
