The LsqFit function currently used for curve fitting does not support weights. So although we're still calculating them during interpolation they aren't actually used. Need to decide whether the weights are important, and if so find a least-squares fit algorithm that can use them.

Part of this will depend on how different the results of the Julia version are from the R version.
