Note that tallies are unfortunately non-universal in overlaping ways, so this invites a risk of uncertainty.
Writing a (latin) letter repeatedly or an (arabic) numeral is less prone to misunderstanding.
Tally could be useful but I think more useful (particularly with the SR2023 game) is just being able to write a number to correspond to how many of a single type of token exist rather than having to write many of a singe letter.
If we are counting big numbers of things in the scoresheets, we should allow for scorers to tally them.
