The duplicate detection / prevention doesn't know about AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages).

Apparently the canonical URL can be obtained from the META tags from the response for an URL:
https://ampforwp.com/tutorials/article/how-to-change-the-canonical-link-on-amp-pages/

So my suggestion is to use the canonical URL as the URL for a Link Post. And for dup prevention, obtain the canonical URL before checking for dups.
