Summary

These are the main objectives:

  • Conform query linearisation to SOLID principles.
  • Conform transaction control counter management to SOLID principles.

These are to address the techinical debt added during PR 318 and also a fair bit pre-existing.

Acceptance criteria

  • Improvements to query linearisation.
  • Improvements to transaction control counter management.
  • Comments in all effected files outilining coformance to SOLID, ro reasons for variation.
