At some point in the past, maybe overlapping, these two things were possible with YouTube embeds on Steemit:

You could center them with <center> tags.
You could use YouTube timecoded links so that it would start playing at a certain point in a video.

Neither seems to be working now. Can this functionality be re-added?

Along the same lines, I'd also like to see formatting options with other iframe embeds possible. Including <center> and the <div> right/left placement options recently added.

  • Right now, we have videos expanding to be full width, so centering shouldn't be an issue
  • You should be able to float videos left or right by wrapping them in <div class="pull-right">...</div>
  • When it comes to specifying start time, this is something we can evaluate. For security and simplicity we currently have parameters locked down tight.
