Usually my replies appear in the order that they occurred. Here is a case where a reply from 39 minutes ago is appearing before a reply that was 11 minutes ago.

I have also seen out of order posts in the trending section too. I don't have a screenshot because I'm on my phone, but there was a case where the #2 post had a potential payout that was $5 more than the #1 post.

Here is an example of the "out of order" posts on the trending page.

Regarding out of order replies -- does it fix itself after a refresh?

As for the trending page -- posts are sorted by total payout, including the post's replies.
This is why lower payout posts sometimes rank higher.

Regarding the out of order replies, refreshing does not help. I scrolled down to where those three comments were listed, and they are still showing in the same incorrect order today.

@TimCliff if this is still an issue please leave a URL where I can see the bug.

I figured out what it is. I don't know if this is a blockchain or UI thing (or if it is by design) but if you edit an old comment, it pops to the top of the list.

Thanks @TimCliff, I see the issue and I've filed it on the backend: steemit/steem#783

Has this been resolved?

@roadscape - the current behavior is still that an edited comment moves to the top of the replies. I don't know if this is a bug or the intended behavior though.

Ok, let's leave it as-is for now. Visibility is not bad for edited comments.
