FYI: I've found that, at least for me, https://onlinefontconverter.com works better than fontconverter.io (successor to font-converter.net).

I was having problems getting fonts to display consistently between different browsers & OSes. I looked in the browser inspector and saw that the font-family names being used by the browser were different than the ones in my generated css file. Changing the css didn't work, but re-converting the fonts with onlinefontconverter and using their css works great now for me on Chrome (Mac/Win), Edge, & Safari :-)
