What happened to search engines ? The option to configure it is there but I can't find the way to use them ? #581

I think that when this feature was implemented a few search engines were even pre configured for the user
These are not in the settings anymore and even if I configure one the option does not seem to be activated

As noted in the Wiki, you must restart OneNote. Then the Search menu will appear in the context menu

PS: that is not very intuitive and as we all know the users don't always read the manuals. Sometimes (my case) you think you know what is what in your program and you are assuming the absence of X option is a mistake not a design option
It would be nice to mention the above in the config dialog.

BTW the books URL in that wiki table should be
https://books.google.com/search?q={0}]

I guess that calls for a redded "ONLY after the below are configured."
I would also insert that by default as empty in the context menu, default and with a line saying the above
That would give the user a clue on two things
-it is possible to configure search engines
-the user needs to go to Settings to enable them
