On the one hand, they're not, cause why you need this info here? It's kinda obvious that there is no first period/lesson from timeline. But on the other hand, it's VERY clear that there in no first period/lesson and there almost no way you can miss this important detail.

So I guess the right thing to do, is to give user ability to decide whether he prefers cleaner UI with possibility to fuck up and come one period earlier than needed, or vise versa: a little more verbose, but at the same time more explicit UI without such possibility
