Android/FireTV stick: on-screen keyboard doesn't show up on some fields

• Kernel version (if applicable): Fire TV Stick - 2nd Gen (2016-2019), AFTT, Android Level 22 (Android 5.1)
• strongSwan version(s): 2.3.2
• Tested/confirmed with the latest version: yes

Describe the bug
Using strongswan app (2.3.2) on FireTV stick, using the remote control to switch between the fields, the on-screen keyboard doesn't show up on Server or Client identity nor on the Profile name fields.
This is an issue for users using FireTV stick, as there is no way to connect the USB keyboard to it, unlike FireTV which has the usb port.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a new VPN account
2. input all the relevant information using the on-screen keyboard
3. use the right arrow on the remote control to switch the fields, pressing the middle button to activate the keyboard
4. get to the Server identity under Advanced settings, the cursor is blinking, but clicking on the middle button does nothing, the on-screen keyboard doesn't show up

Expected behavior
using the middle button on the Amazon FireTV stick should activate the on-screen keyboard on all the text input fields.
