Hello Devs.

Sorry for asking here but i can't find documentation about this. Just tried to host a multiple user video call via nextcloud spreed.me with firefox 53.0.3. Video call runs very good with 4 participants although my macbook air fan starts to get louder and louder. When the 5. person enters the call the entire call gets choppy.

Questions. What are the best practices for hosting a multiple user video call? What is the best browser for that? Are there specific settings i can try? Is there a limit aside from bandwidth?

thanks and cheers

AFAIK, it has a limit of 6 persons for each room, toping 10 rooms.

For crowded calls i would suggest a more robust system like http://meet.jit.si
Which is another kind of approach with FLOSS videocall infrastructure.
