I tried installing vega in my kali and it is giving me this error
An error has occurred. See the log file
/home/kali/Downloads/vega/workspace/.metadata/.log.

Have you looked at that file? What does it say?

There are also other open issues with similar description, maybe you could have a look at these as well. In addition, you can find an installer script for Kali here: #188
