Since gnome no longer supports status icons (since 3.26), i cannot find a way to bring up the settings menu.
When launching xdm from applications menu, it tries to run another instance and ends up with the error "An older version of XDM is already running".

OS: Arch btw

options menu can be accessed from XDM it self. "An older version of XDM is already running" problem seems like a duplicate of #44
