How to Install Siemens SinuTrain Operate on Windows 7 Using Windows XP Mode

What You Need

  • A PC with Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate edition (32-bit or 64-bit).

  • A CD or DVD drive or a USB flash drive with the installation files of SinuTrain Operate.
  • An internet connection to download Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode from Microsoft website.

Step 1: Download and Install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode

Windows Virtual PC is a software that allows you to create and run virtual machines on your PC. Windows XP mode is a pre-configured virtual machine with Windows XP Service Pack 3 that you can use to run older applications.

  1. In Windows XP mode, click on Start > All Programs > Siemens AG > SinuTrain for SINUMERIK Operate > SinuTrain for SINUMERIK Operate.
  2. Select your machine model and configuration and start simulating and programming CNC machines on your PC.
