[8] [DFN[[[SVG 1.2]]]] は、 [[W3C]] [[SVG WG]] が提案していた [[SVG]]
の版でした。
[9] [DFN[[[SVG Tiny 1.2]]]] が [[W3C勧告]]となりましたがほとんど受け入れられず、
事実上破棄されました。
[26] [DFN[[[SVG Full 1.2]]]] は [[SVG Tiny 1.2]] に注力することを理由に作業停止され、
再開されることはありませんでした。
[24] この時代の「Tiny」は事実上 「Mobile」の言い換えでした。
つまり[[欧米市場向けフィーチャーフォン]]用の [[SVG]] を制定しようという企てでした。
[[フィーチャーフォン向けブラウザー][欧米市場向けフィーチャーフォンのWebブラウザー]]を開発していた企業が [[SVG Tiny 1.2]]
の開発に参加していましたが、[[デスクトップ向けブラウザー]]の開発者達は
[[Web]] 技術を分断する「Mobile」や「Tiny」には反対していました。
その後、[[デスクトップ][デスクトッププラットフォーム]]と同一の[[レンダリングエンジン]]を使った[[ブラウザー]]を搭載した[[スマートフォン]]が普及して[[フィーチャーフォン]]市場は壊滅し、
[[SVG Tiny 1.2]] は存在価値が無くなりました。
