What about the power connector? This is definitely nowhere to be found. Maybe we can consider DIN-5 (can carry up to 4A@24V)? In that case we should come up with a footprint that can either fit a salvaged original connector or our replacement.

Thanks to some information it turned out that the footprint of the original connector is pretty much the same as an ordinary DIN-8.
So I have designed a DIN-8 footprint with extra pads for the shielding of the original connector, and mapped the pins so that both can be used.
I have also mapped the pads so that when using the DIN-8 +5V, +12V and ground use more than one pin. This allows splitting the current and hence a connector rated for less current can be used.
Finally, a DIN-6 can probably be used as well, since it has part of the pads of a DIN-8.
