We're currently using just the fact that the user is logged in, we need to also ensure that they have the appropriate affiliation.

See #1348 (comment) for affiliations.

Note that the affiliation attribute will only be present when logging in initially and we'll need to somehow (securely) store the affiliation attribute attached to the user/session.
