If there is no note in sNotz but only a checklist, Clear Notes command as well as Backup Notes command does not proceed. It complains "You haven't created any notes yet".

It is perfectly expected. Both of those commands are only made for notes (not checklists). Checklists are more independent with separate import/backup features on its page. I agree that this behavior is bit confusing for some people. I shall make a detailed documentation for sNotz mentioning all these things in the future.
