Which android version you're on. I think changing cursor colors won't work on older versions of android. That's why I hardcoded white color on Android versions lower than Q . Will look for a better method.
Regards
Sunil
Yes I'm on an old version, still using my Galaxy S7 with Android 7 (nougat).
If it's not possible with more than one color on older versions, I suggest a turquoise color or maybe orange. It will mean that there will be a problem if the background color is about the same, but I think it will be a smaller problem than with white cursor which will be problematic regardless of background color as long as the background color is quite light.
When I select a very light background color for a note, I'm not able to see the cursor because it always has a whitish color.
If it's possible to get the text color as cursor color, I think that would be the best solution.
