The is_maximized method is currently unstable and unreliable because there are no events in winit or glutin to know when that state has changed.

This issue is blocked on new events becoming available: rust-windowing/winit#1578

  • Update the is_maximized drawing state in response to events
  • Stabilize the is_maximized method once its value can be relied on
