Hanging voices in a corner case

When we're on CART page and we browse for presets, if we play notes simultaneously, and then stumble upon a patch with longer release time, we will get hung voices if we release the key AFTER we've chosen a new patch.

There is no way to externally silence the hung voices (not even with All Sound Off or All Notes Off messages), the only way is to press the INIT button. Not cool.

This doesn't happen when using the bottom area of CART page (currently loaded cartridge), only when using the right side area (loading patches to edit buffer from the cartridge). I notice that when changing patches from currently loaded cartridge, all sound is shut off, so looks like there is an internal All Sound Off sent here. Just not when browsing a selected .syx file.
