Retina - HiDPI display support for the interface #49
Comments
Hi Matthieu Yeah I have definitely thought about using 2x resolution assets and the like. The current global situation has slowed my development pace a bit so I haven’t been able to get my first set of changes (tuning; MPE; newer build infrastructure) back into the main fork yet. But a Retina display upgrade (which in JUCE is really just a 2x assets and overdraw upgrade, or switch to vector assets it seems, from my other JUCE projects) is definitely something I would love to do. |
Hi Paul, thanks for your reply! Totally understand, this situation makes it hard for all of us, and retina support for Dexed is actually of little importance in these times :) I hope that once everything will be back to a more normal situation, you will find the appropriate time to do this. Looking forward to it! |
Music and music software has been actually super helpful to me and many others in these times so I would love to do it. But I must admit some of my concentration on super detailed things has been a bit fractured, which is more the problem here. Returning to dexed is on my list once I wrap up the surge skinning engine project though. |
Oh also; @mkruselj didn’t you make 2x assets for many thigns? Do you remember where you put them? (Sorry, as I mentioned above, a bit disorganized in my volunteer-programming thinking last couple of weeks) |
Sure there they are: |
Also, reading the welcome page, I got a bit worried. I am a Renoise user, and so far Renoise does not accept VST3. Do you plan to maintain the AU version of Dexed too? |
Oh yeah. AU VST3 and Standalone. I am a Logic Pro user. Don’t worry. Just VST2 is not feasible. |
Hi,
I do not know if this is the right place to ask for this. I love Dexed, but I find the interface suffers from its lack of Retina support. I am on a Macbook Pro 2015 under Mac OS 10.14.6.
Is there any plan to support Retina screens?
Best wishes
Matthieu
