The weird behavior looks like it appeared between https://svelte.dev/repl/easing?version=3.21.0 and https://svelte.dev/repl/easing?version=3.22.0 - meaning this is probably a new bug in Svelte itself.

Reverting #4766 seems to fix this, but I haven't looked into whether this is a bug in the implementation, or in what the ease visualizer was expecting.
