Describe the problem

The feature itself appears to be just briefly mentioned in the changelog and the only sort of documentation can be found in the PR (#8022), which also does not explain what exactly the bindings refer to or what the objects contain.

Describe the proposed solution

Add explanations for the different bindings to the main documentation.
