When Illustrator exports SVG it uses these elements for shadows. It would be nice to have a non-default option to strip these elements out, since they won't be shown on WebKit anyway.

SVG
elements allow you to embed raster images inside of SVG. WebKit ignores these on non-inline SVG—IE and Firefox work fine.
