This site tells me to check out swagger.io for info on how to upgrade to Swagger 2.0 - even though I'm running 2.2.10. I assume it should be updated to say "version 3"?

Hi, that means "swagger-specification" 2.0, or now "OpenAPI 2.0". We'll update it in the appropriate repo. The version you're pointing to is the library that you're using which is different from the specification version.
