Feature Request: Videomixer

Since gstreamer handles videmixing so nicely, it would be interesting to have 
multiple sources played in one window in a matrix grid.

Well, even if gstreamer can play multiple sources, the issue is deciding what 
will be played. Right now there is one playlist, and once a video/audio is 
done, a new candidate will be generated from this one playlist. If there are 
2x2=4 or even 3x3=9 streams in a matrix grid, this may not be what the user 
wants. So even if this sounds simple, its still some coding work to do.

In any case, it wouldn't be the first thing I'd add; there are other things 
like disabling the screensaver during video playback that I would code if I had 
some time for gst123.

But if you're willing to write the code, sure, I can integrate a patch. Just 
ask if you need to make infrastructure changes to do it, to avoid unnecessary 
coding work.
