Scatter Plot, like: http://www.screencast.com/t/rBL8NOoheZD

@marjan-georgiev, @Hypercubed Was this closed without plans of being implemented? Is scatter plot functionality possible with ngx-charts out of the box?

@zachatrocity yes, please take a look at the bubble chart: https://swimlane.github.io/ngx-charts/#/ngx-charts/bubble-chart

@marjan-georgiev ah perfect, just use bubble charts with a single series entry. Thanks!

Except that the bubble charts don't appear to support different point shapes, so you can't really do a true scatter chart with different series (squares, triangles, diamonds would be a good start)-

That can be fixed in a PR.

I'm not having any luck implementing a linear regression for scatter plot implementation. This means provide a bubble chart with a line chart (no double y axis needed). Any pointers or ideas?

I have asked similar questions in the past, and the answer was make a combo chart, like the example here:

https://swimlane.github.io/ngx-charts/#/ngx-charts/combo-chart

However, creating a combo chart was not at all like what I expected, you couldn't just compose some chart elements and provide two different datasources. Instead, it required creating a custom component and knowing enough about the actual code powering each component to be able to tell what things you need from each component. I found this link helpful, but I crashed and burned trying to create a combo chart with other chart types:
