Feature Request - Set Preset Temperatures using Value Templates

I would like to be able to use a value template to set the preset temperatures, which currently doesn't seem to be possible.

As a use case example, during winter I would like to to lower the temperature as an "Away" preset (say 16 degrees) to not heat excessively when no one is in the house, but during summer I don't wish to cool down to this lower temperature. I'd like to have the logic of the seasons and outdoor temperature that decides what the "Away" preset temperature should in a sensor be and extract this value using a value template in the thermostat configuration
