List of all features and/or improvements wanted for the tvOS platform

• Focus engine navigation
  • Description: Port from MrMC the tvOS native focus engine navigation in order to have an easier navigation on Kodi with the Siri Remote.
  • Issue URL: Port Apple TV focus engine from MrMc #45
  • Status: WIP branch with buggy but working focus engine

• AriPlay 2
  • Description: If you have an AirPlay 2 speaker like an HomePod you can benefit of the enhanced buffering and have no delay between the video start and the audio start (with AirPlay 1 you have ~3 seconds delay).
  • Issue URL: AriPlay 2 support + Fix output route bug after sleep/wake #81
  • Status: Nothing done for now (not even implemented in MrMC)

• Passthrough audio
  • Description: Support passthrough audio
  • Issue URL: Support passthrough audio for tvOS #34
  • Status: Don't know...

• Top Shelf
  • Description: Take full advantages of the native tvOS Top Shelf feature
  • Issue URL: Top Shelf: show Favourites instead of recent movies/tv shows #61 and Top shelf : better handling of TV Shows #66
  • Status: Partially working

• Mimic native tvOS player
  • Description: Port/copy the MrMC player that mimic the tvOS native player
  • Issue URL: [MrMC] native tvOS video player behavior #69
  • Status: Nothing done for now

• Siri Remote click support
  • Description: Port from MrMC Siri Remote click support (not only the single middle click but also right/left/top/bottom click).
  • Issue URL: Add directional click support for Siri Remote #75
  • Status: Nothing done for now

• tvOS app transition
  • Description: Best transition management (what to do when Kodi go to background, to sleep, ...).
  • Issue URL: Transition management #79
  • Status: WIP branch
