Factory has been kindly sponsored by the Symphony community. So we'd like to give credit where credit is due. But some members donated privately, others did publicly. Shall we name those funders that donated publicly?

Yes, I think that would be good.

Thinking about this, the symphony website should have a dedicate "supporters" area that lists out the projects and the donations made to these projects.

We currently link to the Pledgie campaign that lists all funders.
We can change this later before releasing 1.0 final (although we also have to figure out how to deal with pseudonyms/usernames instead of real names).
