In 2.4RC1, we are using today as the default date for the date field. This results in a different default date than before, see http://www.getsymphony.com/discuss/thread/106153/1/.

The date field should default to now.

+1 for this, today saves the time as 00:00. now is how works nowadays.

My bad for asking for today, should have thought about that one. Of course now is the correct one.
