I heard back from @ftbb via chat that this library is still maintained, albeit a little slowly lately given some new responsibilities @ftbb has taken on in his day job - I'm sure he'd love to see new contributors helping out!

Functionally SJC is more comprehensive (covers more of Symphony's APIs) than the LLC library at this time, and it offers various client-side "value add" features that the LLC library doesn't as well. It also has a larger install base (and therefore has more real world testing), having been around for several years longer than the LLC library.
