For the advanced preferences window the following features are missing :

  • Enable/disable syncthing executable background process (use user-supplied executable)
  • Show and select syncthing executable
  • Start/stop syncthing executable

I suppose a potential contribution here could be simple: one just needs to check whether syncthing is already on the path and launch it. Otherwise, use the one distributed with the package. I should consider doing it.

Syncthing executable is now bundled with v1.7.0 and will not auto-upgrade and the advanced pane has been deprecated.
