Issue description:
I guess it is more of an opinion.
When an animation is too complex to achieve real-time rendering, the "play" button could behave in two ways:
Give up on real time and still display every frame.
Only display one in every X frames to achieve real-time ( what synfig does ). But this makes play button pretty much useless for complex animations. If you want real time, you have "preview".
