closest_point: not actually outside the polygon

When you run closest_point, the point it returns is actually on a edge of the polygon. This does not seem to have an effect when using shortest_path or update, but must be fixed. Need to extend the line just slightly to get the point outside of the polygon. See test_closest_point.
