You should check device manual or contact device vendor for more info on device configuration.

For TWO “identical” devices (from different manufacturers): iTrac MT-1 and Sinotrack ST-901
.

Does the Sinotrack ST-901 have a shock/motion sensor, to send a notification when it detects motion? This is a product question, unrelated to this repo, but since you guys own it you might know.

@Arturo2017
Copy link

Yes, it does.

If you have the SLEEPmode turned on, the tracker will wake up, and you can configure the Traccar email notification "Device Online"

Pay attention SLEEPtime always greater than REPORTintervals

My settings (pppp my pasword):
SLEEPpppp 5 (5=minutes)
805pppp 10 (10=seconds) never less
809pppp 60 (60=seconds)

You can also look in the user manual for the 180/181 and 712/713 commands that I am not using...

How to change IMEI numbers ST-901
Is there someone to help?

@Andurino
Copy link

The IMEI or ID is a unique key (10 digits) assigned by the manufacturer for each unit.

You can find it on an outer sticker and sometimes inside.

You can also get it by phoning the tracker, or sending the following command: CXZT

I need to change the IMEI numbers of decice(st-901)

can be exchanged on similar devices with sms commands or pc connection. (gt02, gt06,...)
I'm investigating.

@kosalasanjeeva

Time Zone Command:
896+userPassword+D+NN

Eg: 8960000E08
Reply: TIME ZONE SET OK, CURRENT: E08.

Note:
D takes E or W to indicate east or west time zone respectively.

NN takes a 2-digit number (01-12) to indicate time zone number.

Now I see your problem!!! Is not a USUAL one-hour time zone interval (2-digit).

Have you tried this?

India: UTC +05:30
Example city: New Delhi

alex9x commented Jan 29, 2021

Sinotrack ST-901 and common chineese trackers - have big security holes, starting from reply location by call to any caller (and charge money for it as well), ending with sending all data to chineese servers:

--->IP: 45.112.204.217, TCP/8800 - main server thats IP in manual and can change it

--->Upgrade the butler IP: 120.25.232.237, UDP/1234 - Upgrade Manager, AutoAdmin (can not change)

--->Log server IP: 120.76.67.69, UDP/4540 - LOG server (can not change)

--->EPO IP: 120.76.69.92, UDP/9875 - EPO Socket (can not change)

All 4 IPs have opened live connections all time it works - and send data to them, receive packets from them.

You can change only first one, but others IPs will also get your personal information and location.

Hello from uncle big eye :)

@alex9x Do you have a firmware dump? Can you read back and download the firmware as well?
If yes, did you do it through the external UART interface or perhaps you could connect to the JTAG? or perhaps to the USB (by discovering the pins)?

st-901a+ - latest model, other models are bigger

@tom-b-wright
Copy link

@alex9x we have two versions of the trackers. There is one from around 2018 with serial number 8xxxxxxx and one from 2019 with serial numbers 9xxxxxxx I personally disassembled the later one and read the chip number as MT6261DA. This is a chip used in a very cheap smart watch and there are reasonable docs on how to deal with the firmware. We were able to connect to the chip through UART but our flashing softwares are not able to deal with the firmware uploads and downloads. We are also not able to see those log messages you’ve just included in this thread, the last message is “bye bye boot loader” (isn’t it funny?) Anyhow, our objective is to load the firmware from 8xxx to 9xxx because both are misbehaving but the older one is easier to handle from our server code.

The chip number that you can see is probably an older model and I think it is a good info because we can see from where this hw is originated.

@tom-b-wright

Model on photo have 3000xxxxx serial numbers, have also 9x serial device (st-901 without a or any other) - smt chip is twice or more bigger. On metal plate it have a hole places about 2/3. ST901-2G-V7.0-20200513 version. Seems this is older model, it reply some AT commands on serial port, but not have debug information on it
