Feature request: Change device status or raise event when fixtime repeats (Stuck GPS etc) #3292

Per my post in the forum, it would be handy if a device status could change to 'unknown' or an event that could send an email raised if the fixtime received from a device starts repeating.

Some devices seem to send the same coordinates when the GPS fix is lost, and the device does not regain the fix or recover. Traccar shows the device as still online, but the position doesn't change and until you realise its no longer updating, there is no way to tell something is wrong with the device.

This is the right place, thanks.

Is the idea to get notified when GPS fix was lost for a long time? I think an even would be more appropriate than changing connection status.
