Sure, you can always open an issue or a pull request if you see that there's an icon you would like to get added

It depends (if I understand your question right), I sometimes juste grab the svg from the official website of the company/project (or anything related to a skill in this case) and then from scratch for the auto version (that get light theme for people on light theme, and dark theme for those who are on dark theme). You can find any I do about in the contributing guidelines of the new repository.
